FIFA 21: 10 Improvements To Career Mode We Want To See
5. Greater Level Of Financial Control
Football and finance are inextricably linked.
As much as the soul of the game still exists at a grassroots level, it's hard to argue that many of the decisions made at the highest levels of the beautiful game are heavily influenced by finance. Player contracts are continuing to swell to unimaginable sizes, while TV revenue injected into the sport has shown no sign in slowing down.
With all that in mind, why are the financial options in FIFAs career mode still so threadbare?
Sure, you can distribute your funds between the balance for transfers and player wages, but that feature has been in the game for more than a decade at this point.
Being able to have greater control of financial stipulations in a contract would make the process of buying and selling players much more exciting. For example, being able to loan a player with the option to buy at the end would only add to the game's immersive qualities, and allow for a more strategic transfer experience.
