FIFA 21: 10 Improvements To Career Mode We Want To See

4. Bring Back Sponsorships

One of the main things that have made the managerial experience in recent editions of the game feel so lifeless, is the changing and often outright removal of features that added to what used to make FIFA career mode feel so immersive.

Despite EA constantly updating and improving the graphics and (arguably) the gameplay year on year, they seem to have forgotten that the devil is in the details, with more modern iterations left severely lacking as a result.

Again one only has to look to FIFA 06, a game that is now so old that it could legally marry in several US states, to illustrate my point. In that game, the player would be tasked each season with picking a sponsor, and while these didn't appear on the team's kits, they came with a variety of options.

If you were planning on a successful season you could go with the sponsor offering large bonuses. Or, if your wage bill was stretched-thin already, you could go for the one with the largest regular payments.

Reintroducing sponsorships is just one of the ways EA could make the player feel truly in charge again.
