FIFA 21: 10 Players Who Will Be Totally Overrated
8. David Luiz
I would feel justified picking any of Arsenal's centre backs. David Luiz, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Shkodran Mustafi all cut figures of players that are either showing their age or still living off of a couple of highlights.
Due to Mustafi's sheer lack of appearances and everyone already being in agreement that he is awful, I opted against including him, and so I will instead turn to his Brazilian teammate.
David Luiz has long divided fans with his brash approach to defending. Always ready to charge out and throw his feet in, Luiz has been on the decline since his move across London.
After leaving Chelsea for Arsenal in August 2019, the centre half has made 25 appearances in the Premier League.
On H2H he has already been downgraded to an 81, and so when comparing statistics I have chosen a pool of players closer to this rating as opposed to the 83 he began FIFA 20 with.
In this pool of players Luiz ranks in the bottom half for tackles, tackles won percentage, duels, duels won percentage, total passes, pass accuracy, dribbles completed and bookings.
Interestingly, he is also the joint highest rated player in this pool, even after his -2 downgrade.
I think it may be time for the 33-year-old to slip below the 80 ratings.
