FIFA 23: 10 Rumours You Need To Know

5. Goalkeepers = Aerial Monsters

Here's another gameplay element that might not suit some.

In FIFA 22, keepers tend to win aerial balls 10 times out of 10. It's like the ball is locked to them when they jump, and there's just no way your attacker is getting anywhere near the thing. Rumours for FIFA 23 claim that goalies will be even stronger in that category too.

If so, then don't bother jumping at all - there's no point in challenging for aerials if keepers are going to be monsters in the air. On the plus side, at least this means your own GK wouldn't flap at crosses quite so much. Fair's fair, right? If AI goalies are strong, then player-controlled ones should be as well.

The latest 22 update made even the world's best goalkeepers a little too weak. EA's never-ending process of tweaks and behavioural pattern changes continues then, and that'll probably also be the case in the next game.
