It's been over a year since Final Fantasy VII Remake's canon-detonating ending, and with a Yuffie-fronted DLC named "Intergrade", Square Enix have reignited the fires of speculation all over again.

-- Before we go any further, know I'm dealing with HUGE spoilers for both the Remake and Intergrade --

First, we need to recap how FFVIIR ended.

Ostensibly, we can say that Sephiroth and Aerith are two cosmological entities warring for the future. It's safe to say the events of the original 1997 game happened, and now, Sephiroth is in control. Besides the Whispers manifesting to keep events on a certain path, possibly alongside him, Sephiroth says "Not yet" when Cloud tries to kill him, and Aerith finishes Tifa's sentence about saving Marlene in Chapter 12, despite never having met her.

There are far, FAR more examples of precognition in my original video, too:

Near the end, once the gang appear on the highway out of Midgar and Sephiroth opens a tear in reality itself, Aerith's entire demeanour changes. She refers to what's on the other side of the rift as "boundless, terrifying freedom", and upon stepping through, Cloud and co. fight a manifestation of destiny itself, Harbinger, beating it and triggering all hell to break loose.

Now, for the Yuffie DLC we're playing a series of parallel events that take place around the main game's Chapters 8 through 12, ending when the plate drops, however, we then jump to the end of the main story again, picking back up with Cloud, Barrett, Tifa, Aerith and Red XIII outside Midgar on the way to Kalm.
