Football Manager 2015: 15 Wonderkids You Must Watch Out For

1. Youri Tielemans (Anderlecht)

Number one on this list is a very special player - another in the fine production line of Belgian youngsters. Aged 17, Tielemans is a defensive midfielder who has been at Anderlecht since he was five. As a player, he is composed, quick, comfortable in possession and already been entrusted with set-piece responsibilities. If football hipsters are determined to assign a 'quarter-back' position to certain midfielders, Tielemans would be a good fit for the role. He is already a regular for Anderlecht and made his Champions League debut aged 16 years and four months. Unlike ˜degaard, he plays group stage football against big teams like Borussia Dortmund, who were impressed by his performance and continue to monitor him. Whilst FM14 concentrated on talents like Massimo Bruno, Dennis Praet and Aleksandar Mitrovi‡, Tielemans should surpass them in FM15. Naturally, Liverpool want to buy this wonderkid too and see him as the heir to Steven Gerrard. Vincent Kompany almost tempted him to Manchester City in the summer but Tieleman's parents wisely blocked the move so he could finish his education. For the sake of his footballing education, perhaps another two years in Belgium would be best. But make no mistake about it, Europe's elite clubs will be constantly trying to change his mind. If he stays injury-free, Tielemans should be magnificent.
