It wasn't so long ago that Neven Subotic was considered one of the very best defenders in Europe: he was riding high on Dortmund's domestic successes and as linked with a host of Europe's top clubs. Flash forward a couple of years and the Serbian is at a cross roads: he is expected to leave Dortmund (having failed a medical at Middlesbrough in January) and he's retired from the international picture.
All of that seems to have been reflected in his value in Fantasy Draft, but not his actual ability. He's still basically a world beater, and injury problems won't matter in shorter competition. So get him early and reap the benefits of saving a lot of cash on a world class player.
