It’s no exaggeration to say that Rodrygo – full name Rodrygo Silva de Goes – could well end up being the best player on Football Manager 2020 once you get five or six seasons in. After all, it’s not every 17-year-old who moves to Real Madrid for €45 million.

Now 18 years of age, Rodrygo has both the footballing world at his feet and the pressure that comes with that. And you want to talk about pressure? The skillful forward is largely expected to have a place in Zinedine Zidane’s starting XI next season. Remember, this is a Los Blancos side that is still looking to fill the void left by one of the game’s all-time greats, Cristiano Ronaldo.

It seems redundant to even have to say this, but Rodrygo looks to be a total must-have on FM2020. The only problem there, of course, is someone being able to convince Real Madrid to part with one of the players pegged to lead them to glory over the next decade or more. And even if you can convince Madrid to let this hot prospect go, then there's the hefty price it will likely cost you.
