Football Manager 2020: 10 Expected Wonderkids You Must Sign

6. Dillon Hoogewerf - Manchester United

Right now, the senior squad at Manchester United may be of questionable quality, but there’s still always the hope that the Old Trafford club’s youth academy will offer up a future star or two. And one name on the lips of many right now is Dillon Hoogewerf.

With a who’s who of European football competing to sing the talented young Dutchman, it was Utd who managed to snap the striker up from Ajax a few months ago. Like pretty much anybody who comes through the Ajax academy, Hoogewerf is technically gifted and proficient with both feet, not to mention can play in several different positions.

Due to his intelligent play, calmness, hold-up play, and clinical finishing, Hoogewerf has already been compared to Dutch great Patrick Kluivert. If the 16-year-old Hoogewerf can have even half the career that Kluivert had – 40 goals in 79 international appearances, for a start! – then he’ll be a great player. If you can prize him away from Manchester Utd, you too could have a great player on your hands in FM2020.
