Football Manager 2022: 10 Left-Backs You Must Sign

7. Riccardo Calafiori

Football Manager 2022 Riccardo Calfiori
SEGA

Club: Roma

Nationality: Italian

Price: £7.5 million

The story of Riccardo Calafiori is a brilliant, painful roller coaster of a ride - and the young fella is still only just 19 years of age!

In the Roma academy from the age of 9, Calafiori was tipped as one of the next truly great Romanistas to come through the ranks, particularly shining when Roma U17s won a league and cup double when Richy was just 15. Unfortunately, a nasty knee injury threatened to end this prospect's career just a year later, with there genuine fears that the player would never kick a ball again.

After just shy of a year on the shelf, Calafiori would return to action and has since become a part of the Roma first team squad and also appeared for the Italy U21 side.

The point being, this is a player full of so much potential and who has managed to dramatically overcome the odds. If you've got £7.5 million to hand, you could do far worse than splash that money on this classy left-back option.
