Football Manager 2022: 10 Left-Backs You Must Sign

6. Matthew Sorinola

Club: SG Union

Nationality: English

Price: £2.7 million

Cheap, a good age, plenty of potential, and even capable of playing first team football at a decent standard from the get-go, Matthew Sorinola is a player who may well fly under the radar of many an FM22 gamer.

This 20-year-old Englishman was picked up at young age by Fulham, spent several years in the club's academy, then ended up moving to MK Dons. After a spell on loan at lowly Beaconsfield Town, Sorinola departed the Dons in the summer and signed for Belgian side SG Union.

It's not quite the career trajectory Sorinola would've likely envisioned when he was signed by Fulham as an eight-year-old, but there is still the potential for the player to turn things around on Football Manager 2022.

All being well, you should be able to sign Sorinola for under £3 million, and his starting technique stats of 14 mean he has the possibility to improve in a big way as your save game progresses. Primarily an attacking full-back, the player also has the major benefit of being just as comfortable playing right-back as he is playing left-back.
