Football Manager 2022: 10 Signings You Must Make Every Time

7. Alexander Isak

Alexander Isak is a name long-term Football Manager fans have been familiar with for some time. The striker has carried the potential to become a top-tier player on each edition of the game, ever since his first appearance at Swedish side AIK on FM17.

A series of mature performances for Sweden at this summer's Euros, including looking like the best striker on the pitch in their draw with Spain, will have only solidified the view at Sports Interactive that, starting the season at the age of 21, he will kick on and show the kind of quality that once saw him labelled as the next Thierry Henry.

Valued at £36m by Transfermarkt, and now with a release clause of £75m, he is certainly not going to be a bargain pick-up, but we cannot imagine him spending the rest of his career at Real Sociedad, even in virtual form.

Managers of Liverpool and Arsenal in particular could do worse than following up reported real world interest by sticking him up top in the series' latest instalment, and watching the goals roll in.
