Football Manager 2022: 10 Signings You Must Make Every Time
6. Kylian Mbappé
Okay, so suggesting signing Kylian Mbappé is hardly elite level scouting, but hear us out.
With the French forward's contract up at the end of the game's first season, he is available on a free transfer agreement as of January 2022. Of course, he may choose to extend his stay with Paris Saint-Germain but in real life this seems increasingly unlikely, and hopefully for players, this is reflected in the game.
In reality it appears he is intent on a move to Real Madrid to follow in the footsteps of his hero Cristiano Ronaldo, but if he remains intent on leaving on Football Manager, there may be a chance for other top teams to secure his signature.
Given the lack of available funds across Europe for high profile transfers following a season of no, or very limited income from ticket sales, a number of players (and/or their agents) have realised they may need to run down their contact in order to secure their release from their current employers, with very few clubs able to put up the £100m+ fees to secure world class talent.
Other players in the same boat include Paul Pogba and Paulo Dybala, but Mbappé is the best of the bunch.
