Football Manager 2022: 10 Spanish Wonderkids You Must Sign
3. Pedri (Barcelona)
As we get into the top three, the prices start to climb into nine-digit territory, but the talent is there to justify it.
Barcelona's midfield maestro takes the third spot on the list, which only shows you how tough the competition is. Having already established himself in Barca's first team and earning eleven international caps to boot, it's hard to believe Pedri is still only 18 years old at the start of an FM save.
Possibly the biggest no-brainer on this list, Pedri is already a player who you can just plug into any team and he will get the job done. Naturally fit, mentally developed far beyond his age, and with the ball seemingly sticking to his boots, he has no real weakness in his offensive game. Unless, of course, you count his heading, but you probably won't be using him as a target man, will you?
He is best used in the No. 10 role, but he can also play in central midfield, or on the wings as an advanced playmaker. So no matter which formation you use, you can find a place for Pedri in it. Or, to put it this way, he is the sort of player you build your formation around.
But that comes at a cost, so even if you get him to leave the Camp Nou, you will have to shell out around £50 - 140 million, so probably don't count on bringing anyone else during the same window.
