Football Manager 2022: 10 Spanish Wonderkids You Must Sign
2. Yeremy Pino (Villarreal)
We finally break the Barcelona-Madrid-Bilbao triumvirate to take a look at a Villarreal player.
Ultimately, it was a coin-toss between Pedri and Pino for the second and third spots on the list, but Pino eventually came out on top for multiple reasons. One of them is definitely the price. Even though he is far from cheap, he still isn't in the same bracket as Pedri, as you can get him in the range of £34 - 103 million.
That is a significant chunk of most teams' budgets, but it is an investment that is very much worth it. Pino's FM attributes look like they've been scientifically engineered to produce a world-class wide forward. Or at least they will look like that in a few years' time, but even at the start of a save, the potential is clear to see.
Technically blessed and mentally sound, Pino is one of those FM wingers that can pop up on either flank, or in the box, and create something out of nothing when you need it most. The only thing that diminishes his value is the fact that he isn't nearly as good without the ball as he is with it, so you think twice before pairing him up with another ball-dominant player. But put him behind a target man or a poacher, and you will see goals and assists coming thick and fast.
