Football Manager 2022 Review: 8 Ups And 2 Downs

3. The Data Hub

SEGA

For the stats geeks amongst you, the Data Hub will prove to be one your most visited sections of FM22.

Whilst Football Manager 2021 saw xG become an important part of the game, there's way more than expected goals to be analysed this time out. xG is one of the elements that makes up FM22's new Data Hub, but there are so many other statistics and snippets of information at your fingertips.

In this new FM feature, you can see when and where you lost possession, how you won the ball back, pass completion percentages, swings in momentum, where your shots on goal ended up, can analyse a slew of stats on your previous and upcoming opponents, and are able to pinpoint where you can exploit the weaknesses of other teams. Of course, a lot of this info has been available before, but it's most certainly welcome to have all of this and more collected together in one place.

Additionally, the amount of detailed data made available to you varies not only based on how good your Performance Analysts are, but also due to how many members of staff you have working in those departments. if you're a lower league side with only one or two Performance Analysts on your books, you clearly won't be getting as accurate or informative data info as one of the superclubs who has eight or nine such staff on their payroll.
