This second 4-3-3 variant is similar in so many ways to the previous one, but this version of the formation is one designed for those teams who have enough quality to swarm and dominate their opposition.

To compare this to the real world, this is your classic Tika Taka style utilised so brilliantly by Pep Guardiola's Barcelona in its pomp.

This tactic is all about you being in control, of you toying with your opposition by rotating possession, and of you passing your rivals to death. There's no explosive trigger points here, but it's more about having your players pass the ball around at a steady pace until an opening presents itself.

In addition to this, there's a counter-attack instruction in place, meaning your line-up will spring into life as and when they win the ball on those rare occasions they give up possession.

Obviously for this formation you need technically sound footballers who are comfortable on the ball and disciplined.

As a variable, you can also add a Shoot On Sight instruction to this 4-3-3 if you'd rather not totally try to pass the ball into the back of the net.
