For Honor: 10 Gameplay Features Ubisoft Didn't Tell You About
4. Teamwork & Tactics Are Crucial
One undefended strike can be enough to swing the momentum from certain victory to certain death, so it's critical to make sure enemies can't stab you in the back while you're duelling another warrior.
Equally, defending a strike is difficult even when you have time to think and watch the movements of a single opponent – so blocking a second strike from a second combatant is near impossible. Instead, work together as a team in the larger battles to make sure no one gets overrun.
Sometimes retreating to your allies will save you more
time in the end – standing and fighting alone is unlikely to go
well unless you have some useful special ability or trick up your
sleeve.
So exhausting and involving are the duels, that you'll also need to keep a close eye on the game score, particularly in a Dominion match. Too often you'll focus on killing the threat in front, instead of sneaking around to the rear guard and stealing back zones, and the precious points that come with them.
Should Dominion end in a draw, it descends into a sudden death Elimination match – at which point you can go back to focusing solely on crushing your enemies, seeing them run before you, and hearing the lamentation of their women.
