Despite breaking the world apart with your trusty pickaxe being a vital part of Fortnite (doing so will net you invaluable materials to build your forts), there's always one player though who has to take it too far.

Smashing up buildings is addictive. But there are always players who decide to break absolutely everything in sight. Luckily for the rest of the fighters, this player inevitably makes an awful lot of noise and doesn't pay much attention to their surroundings.

You'll see them swinging wildly, revelling in the collapse of another building. Sure, that material count may be sky high, but their body count certainly isn't.

It's always tempting to break parts of the level, for instance a staircase or two to prevent someone sneaking up from behind. But if you happen to run into a player who's swinging their axe about like a lunatic with reckless abandon, you've just encountered The World Smasher.
