Fortnite: 10 Players You Are Guaranteed To Meet

Those who can build forts, can dominate Fortnite.

The bread and butter of the game, building has helped Fortnite stand out in the increasingly busy battle royale space. If you want to win the game, these days, you need to be able to the build. Fortnite is unique in that its endgame in particular revolves around massive, often impenetrable forts springing up left, right and centre.

The Fort Master is going to win and they're going to win a lot. They spend the early parts of the game collecting materials so they're ready for the final few rounds. By the time you've made it to the safe zone when there are less than ten players remaining, the Fort Master is already standing behind metal walls, towering over the rest of the map.

Groups of these players in squads have been known to build incredible things.

Epic Games has done a bit lately to try and counter these players. Weapons like the rocket launcher, or the guided missile are able to do a hefty bit of damage to forts or even slip over them completely. At the same time, the new Port-a-Fort is an attempt to level the field.
