Game Of Thrones: 7 Video Game Mods You Need To See

6. Game Of Thrones Adaptation (Skyrim)

This full conversion mod gives you all the explorability and immersion of Skyrim, with the added bonus of the lore, characters and names of A Song of Ice and Fire. While the world looks much the same, with your main mission still one of dragon hunting, the characters and cities have been re-skinned - so convincingly so, that you might start to question Bethesda's originality when designing Skyrim.

The Imperials are replaced by the Lannisters while the Starks fill in for the Stormcloaks. Likewise, Solitude has been altered to closer resemble King's Landing, the Red Keep watching from the high cliff, and Winterhold needs few changes to resemble Winterfell.

The Valtheim Towers at the river crossing become The Twins, and more towns and locations being added all the time, including a fully interactive and explorable Wall where you'll find Jon Snow and his Night's Watch brothers.

As well as changing the uniforms and shields to match the various houses of Game of Thrones, many of the characters (over 50 from the series) are available as followers. Rob Stark, Ygritte, the Hound – you can even grab yourself a dire wolf or Tyrion, himself.

The new version is still in development, but with a little digging you can find the older, still excellent version.
