5. It's Challenging

The result of this is also the most challenging - and thankfully so - Gears game to date. Now, I'll be the first confess that I struggled with parts of the previous Gears games, and indeed, they serve a refreshing level of difficulty to even hardened TPS players such as myself. At the same time, though, it never feels unfair and manages to strike a perfect balance where you
want to keep playing in spite of how many times you might get blown to bits. Judgment, with the aforementioned Smart Spawn system, manages to take this to even grander heights; I guarantee that you will die far more in this game than any of the others. Though the game does feel a tad shorter than the main series entries, it compensates for this with a more seat-of-your-pants feel; though you're still part of a squad, the scenarios you're thrown into feel more palpably dangerous than ever before.
