Ghost Of Tsushima: 12 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You

6. Swipe Touchpad Right To Sheathe/Unsheathe Your Sword

Every good samurai game needs the option to manually sheathe and unsheathe your sword.

Brilliantly, Tsushima has a variance of animations surrounding this, depending on context.

If you're out in the open world, Jin will gently slide his blade back into the wooden housing. However, swipe right on the touchpad after you've finished an enemy and he'll flick the remaining blood onto the ground, then sheathe his sword far more purposefully.

Little touches like this really bring the "samurai fantasy" feel of Tsushima to life, and as Sakai has a handful of different "post-kill" animations involving cleaning his sword, do this often to see them all.

Bonus Tip: The pre-sheathe, extended arm pose is PERFECT for taking Photo Mode shots like the one above.
