God Of War 2: Ragnarok Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Want To See

5. Actual Ragnarok

Baldur's final message after Kratos treats his head like a twist off bottle cap is a single word: "Snow."

This snow is Fimbulwinter, the three year period signalling the beginning of the end.

Sadly, we never quite get to see much of this end in endgame GOW, just a few added visual effects. With the sequel, we'll hopefully get to see a true Viking apocalypse.

Whether that be dynamic weather that affects gameplay, old locations shown to be battered and destroyed, or just a nice, hellish sepia tint, for a game titled Ragnarok, we should be able to see it in action.

Another way to make this work would be to have the game change over time, as the final battle draws nearer, with early areas becoming progressively harder as they wither and fall under an apocalyptic influence. It would be great way to keep the game continually fresh and challenging, no matter where Kratos and Atreus are in the world.

We could also see this through a change in relationship between Kratos and Atreus, who perhaps become more confrontational once again as their situation and surroundings become more desperate and dire.

Or maybe we could just get Kratos to wear a pipboy. Either works.
