2. The Kid's Mother
Kratos' son is at the heart of the new game's reveals - even more than the big man himself, it is the tough but inexperienced lad who forms the emotional core of the story being told. The boy's mother is mentioned as having trained him to hunt, but not yet to kill. If Kratos is the boy's biological father then she must have played a part in Kratos' life as well, before she vanished or died and left Kratos raising the boy.
Kratos' backstory involved him killing his wife and child under the influence of Ares. Given this unfortunate track record of marriage in Kratos' life, his relationship with the as yet-unnamed mother of his child could have some serious emotional complications.
Her legacy is already strongly present in the limited reveals the new game has had so far. Perhaps she isn't a mundane, mortal woman at all, but a mythological being or even goddess who serves as the link between Kratos and his new frozen world.
