3. More Weapons Of Myth

God of War's trailer shows off Kratos' new magic icy throwing axe, a mechanical buzzsaw shield and a bow that fires lightning. All very cool, but if the history of the series is anything to go by there will be a whole bunch more.

Kratos' Greek shenanigans involved acquiring new sets of mythological weapons with which to inflict even more varieties of combo-sequenced death, including Hercules' massive punching gloves, Poseidon's trident, Medusa's severed head, Hermes' winged sandals, Daedalus' wings and various other killing implements scavenged from his adventures.

Fortunately, the Norse gods loved their bling just as much as the Greek. Thor's hammer Mjolnir is the best-known but the big guy also toted a magical belt, staff and pair of gloves. Odin owned the magic spear Grugni and a magical drill, named Rati, which would be perfect for inflicting some spectacularly gory finishing moves.

Just about every Norse god had some piece of magical kit, and it would seem rude for Kratos not to get his hands on some of them.
