GTA 6: 10 Gameplay Rumours We Hope Are True

4. Landscape And Economy Change As Time Passes

While Rockstar's video games often feel as real as humanly possible, one aspect they're rumoured to be adding into GTA 6 will see both the landscape and economy change as the years go by.

What does this entail exactly? It means cars purchased earlier on in the game rise in value. For example, a fairly basic car purchased in the 1970s (the rumoured time period the game will be based in) which may not cost you that much upon its initial purchase could then be worth millions further down the line.

How well Rockstar actually pull this one off remains to be seen, however, if there's anyone who can make a proper economy system work in a video game, it's the GTA masterminds. Take RDR 2 for example; while it does take some serious grinding to make any sort of decent money, it's entirely reflective of the time period the game was set in.

Let's assume GTA 6 will be set in the 1970s, as rumoured. By then (in real-time), it still took some hard grafting to make a living, albeit a tad easier than it was in Red Dead Redemption 2's time period.

Essentially, this means the player is going to have to put in twice the amount of effort if they want to succeed in the land of GTA 6 - be it through endless missions, varying deathmatches and races, and just generally murdering the population to rob their corpses - which can only bring a smile to Rockstar's collective face.
