GTA 6: 10 Gameplay Rumours We Hope Are True

5. Heavy Focus On Weather

Throughout their games, Rockstar have typically gone above and beyond to create as realistic an open world as humanly possible. Despite their best efforts, though, weather has been a constant struggle for them.

Now, while their franchises do feature an array of differing weather forms, they're all far too basic; excessive sun, heavy downpours, murky skies, et al. Where are the hurricanes? Or the snowstorms?

Snow, for example, has been something to entice more players around the festive period in both GTA 5 and RDR 2. However, it was often the case that you would log on to play, and the snow would already be covering the ground. It was rare to actually see a proper snowstorm - or any form of snowfall, for that matter.

If the murmurings are to be believed, Grand Theft Auto 6 will feature a deeper depth of weather types, including the aforementioned hurricanes and snowstorms. Add in floods, tornadoes, and the like, and GTA 6 could feel like the most real open-world video game ever created.

Red Dead Redemption 2 saw the Rockstar developers excel as it pertained to the simulation of different weather patterns, but there was evidently room for improvement in that respect.
