GTA 6: 12 Exciting Theories That Would Change EVERYTHING

9. All Presented From A First-Person Perspective

GTA 6 First Person

There’s just something about a first person viewpoint in games that makes things far more visceral. More personal. It’s a technique that’s enormously popular in VR, of course, because the player just wouldn’t feel that they were performing the game’s actions in the same way without it.

Since the Grand Theft Auto series made the leap to 3D, players have been able to dabble in first person. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto IV had limited first person functionality, as did the original release of the GTA V.

It was only with the latest editions of GTA V that first person mode was made an option that players could toggle on and off at will. The chance to play through the whole game this way lent a whole new perspective to the series’ unique brand of criminal carnage, and there’s something immensely satisfying about it.

The potential for this mode to return in the next game makes for an interesting debate, and it would certainly be a radical decision to opt for fixed first person. It would be sure to cause an uproar, especially as a GTA V-esque toggle would offer the best of both worlds.
