4. Two Playable Characters (And The First Female Protagonist)
I previously mentioned that the scale of Rockstar's ambitions had been reduced from having four playable protagonists, however the new game will still apparently feature two criminals that we'll be jumping into the shoes of.
According to the Bloomberg report, unlike GTA V's intentionally mismatched trio of outcasts, GTA VI will focus on two characters with a more intimate relationship. The pair are reportedly inspired by Bonnie and Clyde, with one of the lead characters being described as a Latina woman. Now this of course is noteworthy as it has long been rumoured that Rockstar would look to introduce a female playable character into the series, and it seems they've finally pulled the trigger on that idea.
The report didn't detail anything else about the characters, though previous rumours from earlier this year suggested that the game will feature both male and female playable criminals, and that the pair would also be estranged siblings. Whether that turns out to be true remains to be seen, however for now we can at least begin to speculate what this Bonnie and Clyde-style pair will get up to in GTA VI.
