6. Grand Theft Auto V
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSoklGqIwc4 Similar to GTA IV, in that the soundtrack for Rockstar's latest effort isn't the strongest, but it's also miles better than what had gone immediately before. While GTA V's multiple protagonists give the game a very distinct identity, the soundtrack has a bit of disconnect from the narrative itself. What is a saving grace however, is that it is an amazing isolated listening experience. Within the context of the game, the soundtrack isn't all that memorable. In fact, you might end up tuning it out during all the deliciously fun mayhem you're having, so much so that it becomes a non-entity. But on its own, it's a fantastic listen and worthy of your time. You can definitely appreciate the work Rockstar put into it. With over 240 songs and a few very good talk stations, the soundtrack is perhaps the only weak spot in an otherwise incredible game. But when you have songs from artists like Black Flag and Stevie Nicks, it's hard to complain.
