GTA: San Andreas - 10 Reasons It's Still The Best In The Series
6. The Jetpack
There's plenty of ways to get around San Andreas but for the vast majority of the game, you'll be driving. That's cool and all but you'll want to explore the world from the air. You could acquire a plane but honestly, they're kind of a pain to control. Thankfully, Rockstar thought of a brilliant (yet bonkers) way for CJ to move around San Andreas - a jetpack. Acquired near the end of the game (after completing the Black Project mission) or with the help of cheats, the jetpack might not be the fastest method of transportation in the game or the safest (CJ is completely open to gunfire while using it) but it is a hell of a lot of fun to fly about in. It's agile and easy to control, allowing you easier exploration of San Andreas. You can also wield a one-handed gun while flying about, giving drive-bys a new edge while also making you feel like a baddie from a James Bond film. Sadly, we've yet to see the jetpack influence the preceding Grand Theft Auto games - GTA V features some code that hints at the previous inclusion of a jetpack but no models or textures can be found to suggest it was ever built for the game. Still, that just helps make San Andreas even more unique in the series; flying around in the jetpack will never get old.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
