GTA Trilogy Remake - Every Gameplay Detail You Need To Know

2. It Has A Hefty Price Tag

GTA 3 definitive edition
Rockstar

Oh boy.

The GTA trilogy remake will launch at the starting price of £54.99, which equates to just over $75.

This was to be expected. Rockstar knows that millions of people will purchase the remaster anyway, regardless of what price tag they attach. GTA 5 cost around the same price when it first launched in September 2013, and will cost the same for buyers on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in March of next year, so it's hardly a surprise that they'd follow a similar pricing structure for this remaster.

That said, it's easy to understand why some would raise an issue with this price. As is often the case with video game remasters, there's no physical bonus to purchasing the trilogy, other than playing GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas in better quality with a few, mostly minor changes. Perhaps a commemorative poster would have sufficed as an added perk.

Again, Rockstar are one of those companies in such a position that they can charge their customers almost anything; it'll still sell out. Grand Theft Auto 6 could have a launch price of £100, and it would be gone from shelves like that, straight onto consoles. They're lucky to have such a fanbase.
