Most people would be flattered to find their town got a mention in a pop culture phenomenon. Just look how crazy people watching wrestling or at a gig go at the mere mention of their hometown. He said the name off where I live..Woooooooooooo The residents of Hawick, a small Scottish town that sits roughly 40 miles south of Edinburgh, were not very pleased to find their sleepy hometown getting a mention in GTA V. Rockstar named a district of Los Santos after Harwick and that upset the townsfolk, who objected to the association because apparently the biggest thing to worry about in Harwick is kids on mopeds, a world away from the crime-riddled streets of Los Santos. Hawick Councillor David Paterson said;
I am horrified that they have put Hawick in a game like that. Hawick is a lovely place and to see them do that is ridiculous. Im totally disgusted. Ive never even seen a gun in my life.
