5. Driving

The main itch for me with GTA IV was the driving system which made you feel like your were moving a couch tied to a skateboard with nothing but an oar made of paper to help you steer round corners. While I may be exaggerating slightly, I do not think for a minute that I am alone here. While these new driving mechanics where all in the name of realism, it seemed to completely remove the fun element of being able to handbrake turn around any corner while five stars worth of the city's finest are in pursuit. Instead you tended to find yourself crashing through your windscreen as you clipped a subway girder GTA V promises better, more arcade-like driving with "improved handling" (meaning easier) which sounds more like the Grand Theft Auto we know. However, we know how Rockstar are sometimes at letting things go, so there may still be some remnants of poor vehicular motion left behind to haunt us still.
