GTA V: 10 Reasons Why We Need a New Hero

10. Tommy Vercetti is Too Old

I€™m sure you€™ve heard the internet chatter which argues that there€™s every chance the figurehead and narrator of the trailer is an older, potentially wiser Tommy Vercetti from GTA Vice City. And admittedly this does fit with GTA€™s prescribed timelines €“ the voice in the trailer talks of retiring from €˜the life€™ and Vercetti (who was in his twenties during the mid eighties time period of Vice City) would now be in his sixties, assuming the game is set in present day - which all evidence maintains that it is - which of course makes Tommy around retirement age. However, given the fact that Vercetti would be fast approaching old age, would it be believable or even feasible to have him involved in the sort of high octane activities that make up a GTA game? We can glean that GTA V€™s protagonist is clearly approaching the latter portion of his life, but my argument is that 60+ is just too old to be capable of the things we€™ll be doing come release day. So for me, that completely rules Vercetti out as a returning protagonist.
