9. Claude Shouldnt Speak

Any rapidly aging GTA fan like myself will tell you that Claude, GTA IIIs silent protagonist, is probably, according to the GTA timeline, at around the right age to actually be the voice in the trailer, the retiring gangster (GTA III is set somewhere in the early-mid 90s, meaning around 20 years have passed). While I can admit that itd be kind of cool to see the GTA franchise come full circle, to return focus to its original defining protagonist, I also think suddenly giving the guy a voice would be a huge mistake. In my memory, Claude is that silent, stoic warrior. If he suddenly spoke in a new GTA game then well itd be like Gordon Freeman suddenly having dialogue in Half Life 3. Itd be a betrayal of the original character, to the point that it wouldnt sit right with me at all and I bet itd jar with plenty of returning fans too. With that in mind, I sincerely hope that GTA Vs protagonist is someone completely new.
