1. The Snowball Effect
Each GTA game has sold phenomenally well, some better than others of course but for the most part, if a GTA game comes out, you can guarantee that it's going to make R* some serious cash. You'll most likely find that, nine times out of ten, fans of the original GTA on PSX are still fans of the series today, provided that they haven't died or given up gaming for good. And with each new title that R* release, they pick up a whole new group of fans who were maybe too young to play the last title when it was released or for whatever reason didn't initially bother; while still I'd say for the most part retaining a healthy amount of players who'd bought the previous game. And so on and so forth. GTA has been so consistently brilliant that fanbase shrinkage from game to game is relatively negligible. And although this fanbase doesn't necessarily return for each title, you can bet that GTA V will be the one to bring them fully back to the fold. With GTA V being as unbelievably hyped as it is, looking so phenomenally f***ing brilliant as it does, my prediction is that it'll go down in the books as R*'s best-selling GTA to date, trouncing all other titles in the franchise in terms of sales. Of course, I could be wrong, but we'll ultimately have to wait and see. So there are ten reasons I think GTA V is history in the making. Anything you'd care to add or disagree with entirely? Do grace is with your thoughts won't you?
