GTA V: 25 Radio Stations That Should Be Included
8. Reggae
Example name: Rocksteady Radio Having emerged in three of the last four outings, Reggae seems like a fundamental aspect in the GTA formula. As much as I adore Bob Marley, Tuff Gong was unprecedented with every song material from either Marley or his sons and was conceivably too central on his family. The installment for V will be more versatile I'm sure, with a well-rounded range of reggae and dub akin to RamJam. Playlist suggestions: Ini Kamoze - World A Reggae Dandy Livingstone - Let's Do Rocksteady Aswad - Shine Wayne Wade Lady Bob Marley & The Wailers - Dracula Bob Marley & The Wailers - Roots, Rock, Reggae Toots and the Maytals - Funky Kingston Cocoa Tea 18 And Over Buju Banton - Love Sponge Desmond Dekker & The Aces - Pickney Gal Jimmy Cliff - Vietnam Maxi Priest - Wide World Chances of inclusion: 65%9. Old Skool Hip-Hop & Gangsta Rap
Example name: Underground SoundsHaving one station dedicated to the contemporary side of rap, my second choice is a hybrid of San Andreas' pair of hip hop stations. Radio Los Santos itself has a couple of hits that could've crossed over into Playback due to their years of release, so this crossover should be relatively seamless. I fully anticipate the big Compton names to re-appear such as Dr Dre, N.W.A & Ice Cube and maybe the debuts of DJ Quik, Coolio and The Game who weren't major players 20 years ago.
Playlist suggestions: The Notorious B.I.G. - Hypnotize Big Daddy Kane - Nuff Respect A Tribe Called Quest - Scenario DJ Quik - Tonite Immortal Technique - Dance With The Devil Salt-n-Pepa - Push It EPMD Strictly Business Coolio (Feat. 40 Thevz) - C U When U Get There Public Enemy - Fight The Power 2pac - So Many Tears Ice Cube - You Know How We Do It N.W.A - Hello Too $hort (Feat. McBreed & 2pac) - We Do This Eric B. & Rakim - Follow The Leader Dr Dre (Feat. Eminem) - Forget About Dre De La Soul - Say No Go Chances of inclusion: 60%10. Dance, House & Electronica
Example name: DJ92Nothing says contemporary quite like the club and dance scene. Dance & house music has been common place in GTA, but this time I'd rather the focus is predominantly on hi-octane electro dance and house anthems as opposed to the thumping rave you may stumble upon in the drunken dregs of Ibiza. Something more comparable to Electro-Choc than Rise is preferred. I'm buoyant for the likes of popular Paris bands Daft Punk & Justice but thoroughly expect obscure independent artists.
Playlist suggestions:
Mord Fustang - Super Meat Freeze The Prodigy - Stand Up Far East Movement - Like A G6 Sporty-O - Let Me Hit It The Whip - Trash Daft Punk - Da Funk Kaskade & Adam K - Raining LCD Soundsystem - Dance Yrself Clean Madeon - Finale Justice - Civilization Martin Solveig & Dragonette - Hello Chromatics - Tick of the Clock deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon Propellerheads - Take California Simian Mobile Disco - Audacity of Huge Chances of inclusion: 60%
