GTA V: 25 Radio Stations That Should Be Included
20. Ska
Example name: Seriously Ska 91.1 Ska has never been heard on a GTA before and due to its niche market it probably won't be featuring still. However, North American ska has roots in California with a major hotspot in Orange County in the 1980s. I'd bank on ska making an appearing on a 1970s GTA: London game should it ever be remade due to the 2 Tone revival of ska, but until then it will sadly remain anonymous. Playlist suggestions: Pepper - Office The Specials - Ghost Town Capone and the Bullets - Dance the Blues Away Bad Manners - Samson & Delilah Mean Tangerine - You Gotta Mouth Operation Ivy - Bad Town Madness - Baggy Trousers The Beat - Stand Down Margaret The Uptones - Out To Sea Reel Big Fish - Sell Out Chances of inclusion: 20%21. Drum and Bass/Jungle
Example name: BPMTo be brutally frank, I really loathe this genre (not as much as its cousin dubstep, however) and I instantly switched whenever MSX found its way onto my radar on GTA III. You can glorify the fast pace and energetic beat but to me it's a great deal more than ugly noise that's as pleasant as the old Internet dial-up tone. Even looking beyond my scathing evaluation, I don't imagine there's a wide enough appeal for exposure in V.
Playlist suggestions: Pendulum - Witchcraft Aquasky - Uptight Chase & Status - Take Me Away Logistics - The Trip Shapeshifter - Electric Dream Sub Focus - Rock It The Qemists - Stompbox Camo & Krooked - Climax Chances of inclusion: 15%22. Ambient & Chillout
Example name: Space 3000As the first of its kind to appear in a GTA, The Journey (and its replacement for Episodes From Liberty City, Self Actualization) were a completely unique listening experience. Originating in the UK, chillout covers smooth electronica and trip-hop and their mellow style is generally used to relax to, or to evoke a mood - making it somewhat of an outlandish insertion in GTA. Even though it has fans, like drum 'n' bass I don't think its popularity is strong enough to see a return so soon.
Playlist suggestions: Jean Michel Jarre - In The Mood For You Vangelis - Antarctica Aphex Twin - Rhubarb Enigma - Indian Chanting Cosmic Baby - The Universal Mind Long Range - Punky Orbital - One Perfect Sunrise Boards of Canada - Peacock Tail 4mat - Decades Chances of inclusion: 15%
