3. Marijuana Dispensaries?
What's this? Franklin emerging in a daze from some sort of marijuana dispensary holding a pipe? Outside there is a board reading "pipe shop" and a dubious, neon-green "medical" sign. Inside is the unmistakable depiction of a hemp leaf. Does this mean we will be able to buy drug paraphernalia and/or take drugs in GTA V? Drugs have featured in nearly all Grand Theft Auto games to date. In GTA III, players could find and then walk through floating pills to get an adrenaline rush; in GTA Vice City players could sell drugs from a Cherry Popper Ice Cream truck while in San Andreas, one of the game's main premises was to get all the crack, crack heads, and crack dealers out of Los Santos to make it a better place. Even GTA games outside of the main cannon featured drugs and drug use, such as China Town Wars, which allowed the protagonist, Huang Lee, to sell cocaine, heroin, downers, acid, marijuana and ecstasy to drug dealers to make money. The presence of, and taking of drugs in GTA V then wouldn't necessarily be a new thing, but it would be a first if we could actively purchase and then take drugs in the game, and we're looking forward to seeing this feature expanded upon in Rockstar's latest venture..
