3. Housing
While this feature was mostly absent from IV, there is no doubt it's coming back in V. In a Saint's Row meets the Sims kind of way, Rockstar should give us the option to redecorate our house by choosing colours and furniture. It is vitally important for this to be optional though, as some would revere it immensely.
4. Combat
Some people found GTA 4's cover system very dysfunctional and hard to use. While I didn't have trouble with it, I do hope Rockstar "borrows" the shooting mechanics found in Max Payne 3, which is, by the way, my GOTY pick so far. (No doubt AC3 will end up tomahawking MP3 off the top spot). The shooting was sublime and the camera didn't fight you while aiming and rotating like in GTA4 and Red Dead Redemption.
