If women in Rockstar's fictitious worlds aren't being depicted as spoilt, selfish, vindictive brats, they're being portrayed as prostitutes. In her aforementioned GTA V review, Carolyn Petit wrote:
"GTA V has little room for women except to portray them as strippers, prostitutes, long-suffering wives, humorless girlfriends and goofy, new-age feminists we're meant to laugh at."
And she hit the nail on the head. Instead of seeing high-flying businesswomen dressed in suits chatting on their phones as they head to work at the office, we seem blonde bikini-babes chatting inanely about what party they're going to. We see scantily-clad women on street corners after dark, who can be interacted with and propositioned into sexual situations for money. The player can even choose three different types of "services" such as fellatio and all-out sex, and can bludgeon the prostitute over the head with a baseball bat afterwards to retrieve said money. Rockstars is a dark, dark world where women are depicted - and treated - abominably.
