GTA V: 8 Reasons Why It's Blatantly Misogynous

4. Strip Clubs

As well as being able to use women for personal gratification, Grand Theft Auto's characters, Michael, Trevor and Franklin, can also visit strip clubs. Strip clubs, like prostitutes, have been prevalent in previous GTA games, but this time, they're different. Predecessors in the series had strippers retain at least a little modesty in their appearance, with their nipples covered up with tape. Not this time, in GTA V, you get all-out boob. Another new (and sexist) addition to the stripper 'feature' is the ability to not just ogle them, but feel them up when the security guard isn't watching to fill up a bar as part of a 'mini-game'. If the bar reaches the top, the player can 'choose' to take them home, rendering a technically-legal and above board dancer as little more than another sex object of which to exploit. Rockstar have crossed a line with their strip clubs in GTA V - whereas before the dancers found at clubs were an assortment of mildly-titillating dancing pixels, now, they're fully-graphic, almost fully-nude women of whom you can interact and supposedly sleep with.
