5. Deep Sea Diving

In the original 2D GTA games, you'd die the second you impacted water, and it wasn't until GTA: San Andreas that we were finally able to swim and even dive down underneath the surface to observe sea creatures like Jellyfish and Dolphins and also collect special oysters (a submersible version of the famous hidden packages). GTA IV depressingly removed this element, only allowing you to swim on the surface, but GTA V, as is becoming a bit of a trend, has brought the feature back. What's more, to swim underwater, players are required to use a scuba suit or use a submarine, allowing us to explore extensively without needing to come up for air as in San Andreas. However, diving in GTA V presents its own sense of danger by way of sharks that will be out for your blood.
