GTA V Protagonist Revealed In New Screenshots

I would now like to draw your attention to this screenshot, from the trailer. Here, we clearly see our two protagonists, as well as another man. They are clearly working together, and about to rob a jewellery store. If we got more than one protagonist, would we get to choose or would the game swap for us? We can only assume Rockstar would employ the technique used in GTA 4 and it's DLC, with three characters' stories crossing and separating. A user on Rockstar Games' website makes an interesting suggestion. Could GTA V have an online co-op story? While the simple idea of this sounds amazing, the execution is less so. Having two or three people doing the same missions would see players forcing each other into action, and if they did separate missions, a player might get too far ahead of the other characters' stories. While this is a sound idea, it would take some extremely skilled design by Rockstar to make this happen. Luckily, Rockstar has extremely skilled designers. While the screenshot dump is as informative and vague as all other GTA V marketing, we will just have to wait and see. Everything here is pure speculation, and the co-op is not an idea I considered, as cool as it could be. We'll just have to wait and see what Rockstar reveals this week. One thing is for sure though, more info- and a trailer- are coming soon.
