GTA VI Predictions: 10 Things We Expect To See
5. Graphical Update
The next generation consoles are powerful machines. With custom, high-performance hardware featuring prominently in both the PS5 and Xbox Series X/Series S, they're perfect for a new generation of graphically spectacular games. Both consoles offer enhanced textures, frame rate, ray tracing and a host of other improvements befitting a Hollywood movie studio.
GTA VI will no doubt take advantage of the tools at its disposal and go to town on improving its appearance. It's not as if GTA V looked bad. In fact, it featured some positively gorgeous landscapes and vehicle designs. But initial reports suggest GTA VI will make a similar graphical leap to the one from San Andreas to GTA IV. That's actually insane!
The new game will likely take an ambitious approach to graphics, with regular gameplay adopting a more cinematic look. The developers can push the boat out on background detail, building a deeper, more complex world for players to enjoy. It's almost difficult to visualise the look of GTA VI but if it can live up to the hype and make full use of the new technology, it'll likely have GTA V looking dated pretty quickly..
