GTA VI Predictions: 10 Things We Expect To See

With an increased emphasis on equality in the gaming industry, it's the perfect time for a female lead within a switch-character system. Some leaks have suggested this won't be the case but nothing is set in stone and there's still every reason to believe there'll be a more diverse cast of player characters in GTA VI.

Female characters have appeared in previous games, but they've hardly been the most memorable characters. They tend to fill the role either of unhinged psychotic, see Catalina from San Andreas or Amanda in GTA V, or standard mob wife, happy to hang off the arm of their murderous lovers. Hardly original. It'll bring some much-needed originality to the story mode if a female character features, especially one who's a unique character, not just another tired stereotype.

Besides, it makes sense from a marketing perspective. A female lead will allow Rockstar to appeal to a new generation of female fans while naturally developing well-rounded characters and building compelling backstories.
