Hades: 10 Reasons You MUST Play Supergiant's New Rogue-Like
6. The Dating Sim /Fishing /Gacha Mini-Games
The reason Hades has captivated so many, even outside of those who love the genre, is that it's not just a remarkably well put-together rogue-like.
It's also a dating sim, a fishing game, a house decorator, and a gacha game without the real life currency. The abundance of gameplay variety is part of what makes Hades so replayable.
Even with the combat being addictive and satisfying, sometimes the difference between stopping or going to the next run is the promise of meeting the next character you want to further a special bond with. Each character has their own unique requirements to further your bond with them, which is where the "dating sim" aspect comes in - though in reality, there are technically only three characters you can confess your love to, and two you can actually date (at the same time!).
The fishing game comes when you procure the Rod of Fishing, allowing you to fish in random places and exchange said fish for prizes. The interior design elements comes with the House Contractor customising the House of Hades to your preferences, and you can collect the chibi faces of your favourite characters over time, similar to a gacha-game.
