Hades: 10 Reasons You MUST Play Supergiant's New Rogue-Like
5. The Voice Acting
Even with most of the voice actors doubling or tripling up on roles (or in Logan Cunningham's case, sextupling up), each character in Hades has characterisation crystallised by fantastic voicework, with an absolutely mind-blowing number of voice lines that makes every interaction unique up to the 200th run.
Some spoilers for characters you meet in the game!
The most impressive voicework definitely has to come from Logan Cunningham and audio director Darren Korb. Cunningham, a Supergiant stalwart, voices six characters and their thousands of lines of dialogue, including Poseidon, Achilles, Asterius, the Storyteller (narrator), Charon, and Lord Hades himself, while Korb voices main character Zagreus, helpful and mysterious skeleton Skelly, and the singing voice of the mythological musician Orpheus, on top of creating the game's stunning musical score (which we'll talk more about later).
Not to say that any of the other actors are slumps in that department, given how colourful, interesting, and memorable every single character in this game really is, with those sharing a voice actor never once sounding the same.
One special mention, however, must be given to Solo the dog and her fellow canine associates providing the voice of Cerberus, everyone's favourite three-headed gigantic monstrous puppy.
